Council Tool 6‑lb Pickhead Axe Head — Forged Tool Steel, Made in USA

  • High‑carbon forged tool-steel head, precision-machined in the USA.

  • Traditional “pickhead” design: one end is a sharp cutting bit for chopping or breaching; the opposite end is a tapered pick for penetrating or prying.

  • Bit is heat-treated to a hardness of approximately Rockwell Rc 48–55, giving a durable edge while keeping the poll and eye walls tough and shock-resistant.

  • Head body is polished and coated with fire-engine red enamel; cutting edges are clear-lacquered to inhibit rust.

  • Eye (handle socket) forged integral to head, ready for installation on a custom handle.

  • Handle available separately for easy assembly.
